Hi, I’m Chantal,

founder and lead designer of Le Sol Design Studio, a boutique landscape design firm based in Santa Barbara, CA. With a passion for both plants and people, I create outdoor spaces that enhance everyday life while blending aesthetics and functionality.

With a degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and as a licensed landscape contractor, I bring years of hands-on experience across the design-build process. My background includes working with respected landscape architecture firms and design-build companies, as well as co-founding a landscape architecture firm, which shaped my detail-driven, solutions-focused approach.

I love seeing the big picture, but I’m equally at home in the details: curating plant palettes, refining material selections, and balancing color, texture, scent, and seasonality. Inspired by my Southern California coastal upbringing and travels through Europe and Asia, my work reflects a deep appreciation for drought-tolerant planting, diverse garden styles, and the timeless elegance of Mediterranean landscapes.
